Tune your piano.
Piano tuning is a surprisingly simple process, though clothed in mystery by those "in the know." When I wanted to learn how to tune my piano, I could not find information on the web that clearly explained how to do it without insisting I buy a book or take a course. Learn how to Tune your own piano
Six Degrees of Wikipedia
Ever wonder how many clicks it takes to get from the Wikipedia page for
Bill Gates to the page for Mark Shuttleworth? The answer is three. How
about from "ice cream" to "cone?" Surprisingly, the answer is four. We
know this this because of Six Degrees of Wikipedia page.
Just type in any two items, and the web service will dig through a
database of Wikipedia articles and figure out how long it would take to
get from one to the other. [via Digital Inspiration]

Wouldn't it be nice if you could upload a ton of your del.icio.us bookmarks all at once instead of one by one? our favorite Amit Agarwal of Digital Inspiration has figured out how to do this.
All you need to do is create a text file with your links (you can copy and paste his script) and you'll be able to bulk upload about once a minute. It's a much easier way than laboriously bookmarking pages one at a time.

The Awful Movie Database
The Awful Movie Database (AMDB) now spanning over sixteen cubic miles of internet, was founded in 1992 by film expert Dr. David Thorpe. In their own words..."The AMDB is committed to providing thorough and accurate information about thousands of hard-to-find, lost, forgotten or supressed motion pictures. Within our vast archive of totally unfiltered information you will find an inestimable volume of fascinating trivia, probing biographies, and comprehensive cast and crew listings..." Definitely worth a look.

Social Recommendations Meet BitTorrent on Tribler
A BitTorrent client developed by the Delft University of Technology and the VU University Amsterdam brings dynamic social recommendations to the BitTorrent world.
Tribler version 4.0 takes the concept of what is popular and gives it a solid Web 2.0 twist. Pandora and Last.fm style, Tribler recommends downloads based on a user’s history. The client also supports YouTube browsing. The engine behind Tribler uses data gathered from viewing YouTube videos in combination with download history to suggest new videos to watch.
The confluence of various Web 2.0 ideas into a BitTorrent client may be a logical step forward in terms of development, but will a swiss army approach have a large appeal to a broad audience?

Fix LCD's stuck pixels.
Duh ! a stuck pixel ? Yes, the difference between a dead pixel and a stuck pixel is that a stuck pixel will generally be fixed at red, green, blue, or any combination of those three colors; if a pixel is dead, it shows up as black, and fixing it requires another method altogether{From Lifehacker}.JScreenFix is designed to fix your LCD's stuck pixels by quickly switching red, green, and blue colors on your monitor.
