FlauntR really flaunts awesome features.

Picnik was our favorite so far. We loved its simplicity and its speed. It is hard to imagine how the entire product was coded using some brilliant CSS and Javascript goodness. We thought that it was the end of it. Then Adobe launched the Photoshop online suite programmed mainly in Flash. But we know that an online image editing tool has its limitations and hence it usually doesn’t give the feel and the effect which Photoshop can provide. But FlauntR could well be an exception. FlauntR divides it’s image editing task into 6 primary segments - stylR, textR, editR, mobilR, profilR and picasR.  flauntr1

StylR gives a huge number of one-click effects, overlays and a new look to your photos.

ProfilR, as the name suggests, lets you easily create a profile photo which you can add in various social network profiles. EditR does the image editing and tweaking for you and has all the necessary features like cropping, red eye removal and various effects ranging from night-vision to pencil sketch effect. TextR let’s you decorate your images with different fonts and background colors. MobilR is an innovative feature which allows you to create mobile wallpapers from your images and supports a huge number of cellphone models.  PicasR uses different paintings to apply some incredible effects to your photos.

    Simply neat !

We love Zenbe !

We were quite excited about Zenbe in the previous post. Its very rare that the enthusiasm about a killer-app is sustained for so long. Zenbe was kind enough to give us the invitation to test it and OMG ! We simply love it. Zenbe has everything Gmail should have. Forget the feature list, the interface is a winner. Minimal setup, classy design, first-thing-first and surprisingly fast.

Some of the features that we liked :

  • Seamless intergration to GMail and Google Calendar.
  • Intelligent Tagging feature
  • Extraordinary attachment management. You can see all the mail attachments as a separate tab 'Zenbe Files'. You can share them too.
  • Zenpages are still limited to a few applications but as more applications will be added, we can predict a full fledged NetVibes inside one tab.
  • Everything you need inside one page : Todo list, Facebook sidebar, GTalk, Flickr, etc via zenpages,

Zenbe : an end to GMail, et all ?

Free webmail is nothing new. But the field is pretty much dominated by big names like Google, AOL, Microsoft, and Yahoo! Zenbe is a startup that hopes there's room for one more. And the company's webmail client makes a pretty strong case that there should be.

Zenbe is a free email service that gives users 4GB of storage for emails and attachments. But that's just the start. The service features an attractive interface that combines some of the best aspects of Gmail and Outlook. For example, you can star messages and add tags like you do with Gmail. But you also have access to an integrated calendar and task manager like you get with Outlook.

There are also a few featues you won't find in other services, like the ability to star messages with different colors, or create ZenPages that let you organize messages, appointment, attachments, and other information on a single web page which you can share with other users.

Zenbe is currently in private beta, but you can request an invitation from the company's home page.

Get Sandy on gTalk.

Email-based digital personal assistant Sandy can be a really helpful manager for to-do lists and calendar appointments, but only if you don't mind composing new messages for every change.

Worry no more. Its quite simple to add Sandy to your GTalk via its wonderful Twitter integration.

Step 1. Go to http://twitter.com/devices
Step 2. Add twitter@twitter.com on google talk
Step 3. There's no step three! There's no step three!

eM Client - Another Outlook Killer ?

Looking for another alternative to Microsoft Outlook? While Mozilla Thunderbird offers many of the same features as Microsoft's email client, you need to install plugins to add calendar and task management features. eM Client, on the other hand, comes equipped with a full featured email client and contact, task, and calendar managers.

While it's not exactly an Outlook killer yet, eM Client's developers are working on a few killer features:
  • Google Calendar and Contacts Sync
  • ActiveSync support
  • Universal translation tool
  • Facebook integration
  • IM integration
  • Anti-virus integration
eM Client also has a highly customizable interface, which is always nice.

Killer-app : Digsby !

Every once in a while, a killer-app emerges. Many of them die a premature death and some remain to be bought by Google Inc. Newly released chat application Digsby consolidates instant messaging, email, text messaging, and social networking into one very slick chat application. As far as IM, Digsby covers all the major players, from AIM to Google Talk; it handles Gmail, Yahoo Mail, Hotmail, or virtually any POP or IMAP account for email; and it supports updates of all the latest happenings on your Facebook or MySpace profile. As far as full-on consolidation of hot social web tools right now, the only thing really missing is Twitter integration. Currently Digsby is Windows only in private beta. It's not open source like Pidgin or Adium (which it looks very much like), but the all-inclusive integration is probably enough to lure a lot of IM users to its warm embrace. Flip through the gallery (hit the jump for more) to get a closer look at everything Digsby's got to offer.
